Ayurvedic Cooking workshop/day retreat

Gain more insight into your own digestion, practical tips for the kitchen and inspiration to use food as a form of self-care for yourself and those around you!

During this one-day workshop, Ayurvedic practitioner and Ayuryoga instructor Beatrice Voss will introduce you to both the theory and practice of Ayurvedic cooking.

Ayurveda is the science of self-healing. Nutrition—ahara—plays a central role in this. Not only what we eat, but especially how food is digested, absorbed, and integrated into the body. In Ayurveda, Agni, the digestive fire, is central to this and health overall.

When Agni is balanced, we feel nourished, clear, and energetic. By learning to listen to our digestion and understanding the qualities of food, we can make conscious choices that support us—without strict rules or eliminating entire food groups. This approach often feels more natural, sustainable, and better aligned with life as it is.

We'll begin the day with a gentle, Agni-kindling practice. Then we'll delve into the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition and prepare a seasonal, balanced lunch together, including making ghee and a seasonal spice blend from scratch. We'll enjoy lunch together in peace and connection. In the afternoon, we'll deepen our knowledge by diving into the theory of Ayurvedic nutrition.
